Knowledgebase : Machine Simulation Error

Problem:

The error message
"Cannot access the node with id -1: node handle is not valid" in Machine Simulation typically occurs when the software tries to access a node or object in the simulation, but the node ID provided (in this case, -1) is not valid.

In this case, the software is trying to access a node handle (a reference to a node) that is not valid, either because it is corrupted, invalidated, or out of scope.

Solution:

To solve this problem, the Module Works folder from the Registry Editor,

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidCAM\SolidCAMxxxx\Simulation needs to be removed

Problem:

An invalid number of axes" during loading Machine Simulation in SolidCAM typically indicates a mismatch between the number of axes defined in the VMID and the actual Machine Simulation.

END PROGRAM (Setup) Invalid number of axes

Also, occasionally, software bugs or glitches can cause unexpected errors.

Operation name == Invalid number of axes

Solution:

Ensure that you are using the latest version of SolidCAM, check if the number of axes is the same in the VMID and Machine Simulation, and consider contacting technical support if the issue persists.

Problem:

Suppose the following error message appears when starting the machine simulation. In that case, it means that the XML file of the machine simulation and the dynamically generated files for the Magazine and the New Tool Table are set to "read-only", or the machine simulation is located in the cloud, which prevents tools and fixtures from being dynamically exported to it

Solution:

The machine simulation folder must not be set to "read-only" because the contents of the NTT.xml file and the Magazin.xml file are dynamically modified and differ for each part.
